Attractive? Festive? Tacky? It’s only ours to live with. As we reported here, five finalists were presented to the public, which was able to vote for a preference in the contest’s final phase. People from all over the world apparently logged onto the secretariat’s site and made a choice. The final winner was chosen with the help of a blue-chip jury, which included Jose Luis Cuevas.

The winning designer is Víctor Hugo Díaz Hirata, 37, a D.F. native living Sinaloa. Díaz takes home a cash prize of 1 million pesos.(http://danielhernandez.typepad.com)25 February 2009
