Mount Holly

“It is obvious that this logo is much too busy,” Danzi told the council at its recent meeting. “There is no way it would fit a small area. You wouldn’t be able to understand what it said.”The logo also needed to be tweaked before it was officially revealed to the public.
“We want to make the river stronger than the railroad,” Danzi said. “Maybe change some colors, although these colors could be keyed to different times of the year. There is a lot we can do with this and we have some marketing experts to help us.”
Danzi was hoping the council would declare the logo the winner of the contest prior to seeing the final design. However, council members agreed that they wanted to see the final design before declaring an official winner.

The public was asked to vote on the three designs from March 16 to June 5 at various locations in Mount Holly. The 216 votes from the community showed the favorites as the replica of City Hall, then “Mount Holly” with three wavy lines below and last, an M with “Mount Holly” underneath.

Three professional designers had a different opinion. Their favorite was the “M” with “Mount Holly” underneath. They listed the replica of city hall as their least favorite choice. (http://www.mountainislandweekly.com)
