Nachdem sich das Wappen auf den historischen Ursprung des Ortes Sauerlach bezieht, gibt das Logo die Position und das Selbstbewusstsein der Gemeinde in unserer modernen Metropolregion München wider. Das Logo wurde im Rahmen einer Projektarbeit zusammen mit zwei Klassen der Münchner Berufsfachschule für Kommunikationsdesign der Deutschen Meisterschule für Mode entwickelt. Aus insgesamt 41 Vorschlägen entschied sich der Gemeinderat nach einem Vorauswahlverfahren am 24. Juli 2007 für den Entwurf der Schülerin Sathya Tenerowicz – Sauerlach natürlich.

Het logo is een samensmelting van twee elementen, namelijk van een kasteeltoren en een boom. De toren symboliseert het industriële verleden van Geldrop, met zijn stedelijke karakter. Het groene, meer dorpse karakter van Mierlo komt tot uiting in de boom. Het logo staat symbool voor twee kernen die zich zowel van elkaar onderscheiden als elkaar aanvullen. Forest City is turning to nature and its residents to give itself a lift. Grow Forest City officials unveiled the city’s new logo and tag line — “Where Nature’s Close & Friends are Closer” — Thursday night at a community meeting. The city logo of Agoura Hills formerly was a combination of oak trees, Indian artifacts, leaves and horses; from a distance, it was hard to identify.In September 2000 the city council unveiled a new city logo, much simpler in design with a Valley Oak leaf overlapping diagonally onto a backdrop of rolling hills, emblematic of the community’s love for the environment.The logo is only the second in the 17-year history of the city.
